Major Medical is an optional horse insurance coverage with limits of
$7500 or $10,000 per policy period. There is a deductible of $250 to $500 per occurrence. Major Medical and Surgical covers:
- surgery (non-elective)
- illness
- disease
- and certain diagnostic procedures among others.
Coverage is provided for the cost of medical and surgical procedures, as well as stated diagnostics listed in the policy, as a result of accident, illness, or disease. This coverage is available for horses ages 30 days through 15 years of age.
